Special Education

Wingate Elementary School’s Special Education program caters to the specific needs and unique challenges of its students. Our dedicated team of educators includes licensed special education teachers and technicians designing individualized learning strategies to bridge any physical, mental, social, emotional, and educational gaps in development. We make sure every student achieves academic success in reading, writing, and mathematics, ensuring they reach their fullest potential.

More than 60 combined years of special education expertise lead our program. Students receive various academic support services, including speech services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, adapted physical education, behavioral, and psychological services. Our safe, comfortable, and customized learning environment leads our students to a destination of personalized mastery of all educational needs.

Our Special Education program includes curriculums for overcoming intellectual and physical difficulties, as well as providing support for the academically advanced student. We focus on a student’s individual achievements and are determined to uplift and advance every student to a higher standard. Our support staff includes doctors and licensed therapists concentrating on Speech/Language Pathology, Clinical Psychology, and Occupational Therapy services.
